In accordance with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 the current Local Plan will be replaced by a Local Development Framework. Prior to the adoption of the Local Development Framework the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 allows for the Hinckley and Bosworth Local Plan to retain Development Plan status until 28 September 2007 (three years from commencement of the Act). At the end of that period they will cease to form part of the development plan unless the Secretary of State has extended them. A list of the policies in the Local Plan that have now expired are available to view below and are now no longer part of the Hinckley and Bosworth Local Plan. A list of saved policies is also available below and they now remain part of the Local Plan until they are superceded by the adoption of the LDF documents. Policies within the Local Plan will be referred to as Saved Policies and will remain the basis upon which development control decisions will be made.
