The overall aim of the partnership is to make the borough a safer place to live, work and visit. Information and advice on the following is included in this section of the website:

Also in this section of the website you will find community safety information provided by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council's Community Safety Team, which includes the Hinckley and Bosworth 3 Year Community Safety Partnership Plan 2008-2011. Community Safety Partnership information is also supplied which includes links to Leicestershire Constabulary, Leicestershire Fire Service and Leicestershire County and Rutland PCT. We provide additional information on the Community Safety Unit and what it is striving to achieve. We additionally provide information about the Community House projects based in Earl Shilton and on the Wykin Estate, Hinckley and the Pubwatch scheme.

The Borough Council is committed to promoting the safety and ensuring the well being of our community.

The Community Safety Unit has been established since January 2002 to help with the fight against crime and disorder in the borough.

Although crime rates in the borough are low in comparison with other parts of the country the Borough Council is committed to working in partnership with other agencies and the community to reduce crime, disorder and drug/alcohol related offending in the borough as well as the impact and fear that it instils in some of our communities and residents. This partnership working arrangement is through a body called the Hinckley and Bosworth Community Safety Partnership.
